The Chad You Didn’t Know

The Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is part of the cast of Dancing with the Stars this season. On Monday, March 22, 2010 he danced the Cha-Cha with his partner Cheryl Burke. They received a six from the panel members, for a total score of 18.

For many of us we are used to seeing Chad on the football field.  I was delighted to see a side of Chad I normally wouldn’t see.  I saw a bit of grace and charm in Chad, something I would never see on the field.  Here is a tip, keep the gold teeth out of your mouth!  Chad has a great smile, I never knew that with all the gold in his mouth.  Chad you are a STARTER, for showing us a side of you that hasn’t been seen before! Congratulations to Michael Jordan, the first former NBA player to become majority owner of a NBA team. The investment gives Jordan a controlling interest in the companies that run the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and Time Warner Cable Arena.

Some of Jordan’s other accomplishments included: six NBA championships, five MVP awards, fourteen NBA All-Star Game appearances, and three All-Star Game MVP awards to name a few. He was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame on April 6, 2009 and was inducted on September 11, 2009.

Congratulations Michael Jordan!  The pictures above were pulled from past archives.  I love his attire on the right.  The blue tie compliments the blue pinstripes in the suit, great look!  Michael Jordan, you are a STARTER!

Keep smiling

Here are a couple more reasons you should keep smiling:

1.  Smiles can fill a room with positive energy and happy moods.

2.  According to some, smiles can tone up facial muscles.

3.  Your smile can cheer up others who may feel down.

4.  Smiling makes you more approachable.

5.  Smiles can change the entire look of an outfit!!!

Smile

There’s nothing worse than seeing a good-looking, well-dressed man with a frown on his face.  He’s intimidating, unapproachable, and unattractive. Charles Gordy states, “A smile is an inexpensive way to change your looks.”

I am always drawn to people who smile.  Take a look at Orlando Magic’s Vince Carter below:

A smile cost nothing, and it can truly enhance your appearance.  Vince Carter you’re a STARTER!

More hair…

Long, short, shaved; black, red or gray, hairstyles reflect your personal appearance.  A hairstyle can flatter a man’s appearance or devalue his look. Here are some quotes about hair, surely you can relate to one.

“A celebrity is any well-known TV or movie star who looks like he spends more than two hours working on his hair.”  Steve Martin

“Gray hair is a blessing – ask any bald man.”  Author Unknown

“Hair brings one’s self-image into focus; it is vanity’s proving ground.  Hair is terribly personal, a tangle of mysterious prejudices.”  Shana Alexander

“Some of the worst mistakes in my life were haircuts.”  Jim Morrison

Statement Hair, a do or don’t

Clearly a man’s hair can make a fashion statement.  On the February 22nd blog, myteampicks gave Ryan Bedford a starting position for his USA hair.  We thought the Olympic Speed Skater proudly represented the USA.  His red, white and blue hair was neat, and made a specific point, “I am skating for the USA!”

On the contrary, Los Angeles Lakers’ Ron Artest showed up with his new purple and yellow hair. The word defense was written around his head.  The average person probably didn’t know it said defense since it was written in Japanese, Hebrew and Hindi.

Ron, I must WAIVE your hair decision! Ron’s hair doesn’t have the same effect as Ryan Bedford’s hair.  To see the hair and not understand the hair, makes Ron look chaotic.
